Nursery

The nursery was so fun for me to put together. I had  a lot of help the weekend we moved in to get it ready in case the stress of the move pushed things along early. I had to wait 9 months to put it together, but it gave me plenty of time to picture what I wanted. I love it and can't wait for Baby Bowen to get to enjoy as well. The only thing you will not find in the picture is her name sign above the crib. We had to take down the sign to keep her name under-wraps until D-day!
Mims and Poppy Dean (my mom and dad) came out the weekend we moved in and painted the whole room for us! I am not a pink person, so you won't find large items in such color, mostly decor. I am finding it hard to stray from the pink, it will take some getting used to.
Her name sign will be going right above her crib, it is made of burlap, painted yellow and letters added.
The bed skirt was made by Grandma Bowen (Clint's mom) and I am in love with it, it turned out to be just what I was picturing! She is so talented!
I made the mobile myself and Clint helped me hang it. Turned out perfect!
The Afghan on the chair was made by my Aunt Tammy, it will come in handy to keep baby Bowen and I warm during our night time feedings, I'm sure it was a lot of work and time to put it together.
The pieces to the left  and the small pieces on the right are collectibles and have been mine since I was little. The big bear on the right was given to me by my Aunt and was her daughters when she was younger. The glass dining set in the middle was given to be my Great Aunt, they are a collectible set of Nursery Rhyme dining wear. It all goes so perfectly together on the shelf.
Changing table stocked and ready to go! The stuffed animals on the table have all been gifts and give her room a girlie comfortable feel.
All the furniture was given to us by our friends Joel and Kelly. Joel brought it to the house the weekend we moved in and the guys set it all up. Used is such a good way to go and I am so thankful!

I love everything about this room and I have to go in there at least once a day in anticipation! I have been taking the dogs up with me so they can smell her things and get used to me being in there as well. I can't wait!
